Our story

Since 2002, one way of working

Surf7 started in Penang in 2002, when Google was beginning to decide which businesses got found. The first client, Armstrong Auto Parts, signed that year and is still with us today. That relationship set the pattern for everything since: build it properly, host it ourselves, and stay around to look after it.

Websites led to hosting, business email and domains, because clients wanted one team to call. In 2025 we deployed our first AI project, a custom WhatsApp sales assistant that now handles a motorcycle retailer's enquiries from first message to order. It opened a second line of work: helping SMEs automate the conversations and admin that eat their day.

Scope, timeline and cost in writing. You decide with the full picture, and nothing starts until you say so.

Hosting and email plans have fixed yearly prices on this site. No quotes to chase for the basics.
3. You speak to the person who builds it
No account managers and no hand-offs. Questions go straight to the person accountable for your project.
4. We host and look after what we build
Your site or system runs on infrastructure we manage, with updates, backups and support from the same team that built it.
5. We are here, and you can visit
Surf7 is based in Butterworth, Penang. Local clients are welcome to meet in person, and everyone else reaches us on WhatsApp during office hours.

Who you'll work with

Founder-led, with a network behind it

Surf7 is founder-led. You deal directly with Ben Leow, who started the business in 2002 and still builds and looks after every project. That means no account managers, no hand-offs and no overhead you end up paying for.

For larger builds, Ben brings in developers and designers he has worked alongside for years, so a project is never limited to one pair of hands. Staying active in the wider web community keeps the work current and the network close.
